How do I grow phoenix canariensis palm from seeds?

I just pulled a bunch of ripe looking seeds from a phoenix canariensis. How do I prepare these seeds for germinating? Is it easy to grow from seed? I know they're slow growing trees and I live on the mediterranean where these palms grow everywhere.
