Who would win in an all out destructive showdown between Thor and The Phoenix?

I'm a huge fan of The Phoenix, especially The Dark Phoenix and the Pure Phoenix (Before fusing with Jean Grey). My cousin and I had inevitably gotten into a continuous argument on who is superior, Thor or The Phoenix. Now, with all the knowledge I had on The Phoenix, I argued in her favor. But my cousin, with all the knowledge he'd learned about Thor agrued for him. The Phoenix is all powerful, but then again, so becomes Thor when he eventually gains the power of Odin. So who do you think would win? Thor or The Phoenix?

1. I'm on your side. The Phoenix rules out Thor anytime, anywhere. She's an unstoppable, unbeatable, uncontainable force that shouldn't be reckoned with. Oh. And I like Jean Grey as a normal character - before interference from The Phoenix - but I think she is even cooler and awesomer with The Phoenix. So The Phoenix it is! :]
