What jobs would be good for someone with an international business degree who does not enjoy sales?

I chose to major in Management with an emphasis in Global Business because it was more or less a compromise between my personal interests and my sense of realism: I knew that my personal interests made language study and cross cultural interaction what I would be passionate about, but I was pragmatic enough to know that I had to get a degree that would be marketable enough to earn me a paycheck. I enjoy interacting with people but do not enjoy attempting to sell to them--I am more diplomatic than I am persuasive. My personality also enjoys planning, organizing, and analyzing. Are there any international--or potentially international--careers that would correspond to these characteristics? I am interested to hear what you think....

  1. With your type of degree I would not even consider sales. You may want to look more at being a consultant with companies that do business internationally or are looking to expand overseas. Most companies looking to expand overseas have to idea where to begin. That is where you could come in. You might possibly work for a firm for several years and then consider working for yourself. Good luck and hope this give you some ideas.
