What is the record lowest number of matches for reaching 50 league goals?

Fernando Torres has 49 league goals and would be the quickest player to reach 50 league goals for Liverpool if he scores in his next match. As this is specific to Liverpool FC, does anyone know who has done it quicker, or where I can find out?
